12-year-old Vilde's love for her ailing grandfather inspires her to master the Norwegian "Halling," a vigorous folk dance traditionally performed by men. Training with her coach across the stunning Norwegian countryside (in scenes that rival those found in the best dance movies), Vilde holds tight to the idea that somehow her efforts will help prolong her grandfather's life.
