For over 40 years, the community organizing group ACORN devoted itself to grassroots anti-poverty work in disadvantaged communities across the country. Identified as a major player in getting out the vote for President Obama in 2008, ACORN became a target for conservative politicians and media. When amateur journalists posed as a pimp and prostitute and posted videos of their exploits online, ACORN found itself caught in a political scandal of questionable merit. A timely tale about the power and peril of today's media landscape.
