They are a way to express culture, heritage, race and religion. But a recent <a href=\"http:\/\/www.npr.org\/blogs\/thesalt\/2014\/03\/24\/291980375\/gastrodiplomacy-cooking-up-a-tasty-lesson-on-war-and-peace\">NPR article<\/a> discusses the role that food can play in creating an understanding in-between cultures. Food is a link that binds us, and <a href=\"http:\/\/publicdiplomacymagazine.com\/gastrodiplomacy\/\">gastrodiplomacy<\/a> is about experiencing another countries cuisine and finding a greater appreciation for our unique differences. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=yv0XPeIU0ms&amp;feature=youtu.be\">Secretary Clinton <\/a>endorsed this new form of diplomatic outreach.
