And one of the first things I was introduced to, besides the wonderful world of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=wmwM_AKeMCk\" target=\"_blank\">Very Potter Musical<\/a>, was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCYjk_zY-iYR8YNfJmuzd70A\" target=\"_blank\">Epic Meal Time<\/a>. The guys were cheering and the girls were gagging as we watched these guys make a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=tzDxTNiCpWM\" target=\"_blank\">disgustingly huge meatloaf with bacon and all other kinds of fatty and heartburn-inducing foods<\/a>. These &#8220;epic meals&#8221; are their specialties, making high-calorie meals (commonly with bacon, fast food, and Jack Daniels.)<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Fast Food Lasagna - Epic Meal Time\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/m9FRSghXhDM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The videos for <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Epic_Meal_Time\" target=\"_blank\">Epic Meal Time<\/a> were originally created by Canadian ex-substitute teacher, Harley Morenstein and his accomplice, Sterling Toth. They&#8217;ve grown and are now represented by <a href=\"http:\/\/gershagency.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Gersh Agency<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Brillstein-Grey_Entertainment\" target=\"_blank\">Brillstein-Grey Entertainment<\/a>.They have greatly expanded; and now, they not only have their YouTube channel, but they have a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.epicmealtime.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">website<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/shop.epicmealtime.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">sell merchandise<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/ASIN\/147674601X?tag=simonsayscom\" target=\"_blank\">have developed a cookbook<\/a>, and even have had a spin-off show, <a title=\"Epic Chef Article\" href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/2012\/12\/14\/epic-chef-epic-meal-time_n_2300815.html\" target=\"_blank\">Epic Chef<\/a>, on the Food Network. Epic Meal Time even has its own parodies, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/GettingFriendly\" target=\"_blank\">Vegan Meal Time<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/SwedishMealTime\" target=\"_blank\">Regular Ordinary Swedish Meal Time<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The expansion that Epic Meal Time has been able to accomplish tells a lot about our society and what one (weird, crazy, and sometimes disgusting) idea can do to shape the way we look and make food. And to make it even better, it started on the Internet. The web has this amazing capability to expand our knowledge and interests with food because of its interconnections. It creates a whole new frame and develops it with links and a broader horizon.
