When is my application due?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Application information for 2018 will be available in December.<\/p>\n

What majors and years (Juniors\/Seniors?) are preferred?<\/strong><\/p>\n

All years are welcome to apply, however, research experience is desirable for applicants. Desired majors include chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, chemistry, biology, and biochemistry.<\/span><\/p>\n

When will I know if I was accepted?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Application information for 2018 will be available in December.<\/p>\n

What is the total length of the program?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The program will last for a total of 8 weeks, beginning in May and ending in July. This includes a one-week orientation at Michigan Tech.<\/span><\/p>\n

How does the stipend payment work?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Students\u00a0will be paid every two weeks except for the last payment. The final payment will be held until the student\u00a0creates a poster on his\/her\u00a0work. There is also money available to help students\u00a0travel locally to present their posters after returning to the US.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Where would I be living (on campus\/off campus)?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Housing will be provided. Basic furniture will be provided, such as beds, desks, and chairs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

How will I be reimbursed for travel and housing expenses?<\/strong><\/p>\n

We will book and directly pay for housing and most, if not all, transportation. Students\u00a0will be given extra funds to cover food and other living expenses.<\/p>\n

What is there to do around Michigan Tech\/Aarhus University?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Locations section<\/a> provides\u00a0a list of activities to partake in at Michigan Tech and Aarhus University.<\/span><\/p>\n

Can I accept additional employment during this program?<\/strong><\/p>\n

No. Students are expected to work full-time on their research project for the 8-week program.<\/span><\/p>\n

How many spots are available?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Four undergraduate and one graduate student will be accepted into the program.<\/span><\/p>\n

Will I be able to present my research work?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yes! Students will be required to present their research work in a poster presentation at Michigan Tech or near their home institution when the program is concluded.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
