When I was a young whipper-snapper my mom normally didn’t have to tell me to stop playing with my food, but that was not the case for my younger sisters. The two of them would construct swimming pools out their mashed potatoes and dive their carrot-swimmers into the gravy goo. I grinned each time my mom yelled at them to stop playing with the food she prepared.
I never quite understood the pleasure of playing with food until I stumbled upon the online photo gallery on Ogni Giorno (Italian for “daily).
