Cheap, Healthy and tasty food for college students

When I think of healthy food, I go back to my childhood and  vegetables were my worst enemies. I used to think of them as bland, boring and horrible. It wasn’t until I started to think of them in a different way that I started to like them; when you are a kid and a teenager vegetables are for sure uncool, but you discover how adding a couple of them to your favorite dish adds that extra taste that was missing, plus is good for you.
Anjali writes tells a story about how she got so interested in cooking and the differences she found between her and her husband eating habits. “I was raised in the healthy-eating, organic-obsessed, farmer’s market-driven culture of the San Francisco Bay Area; he grew up in the deep-dish pizza-loving suburbs of Chicago.” she also talks about how she tricked her husband into starting to like healthy foods and now he asks for vegetables in his dishes.

One of the articles she writes is about people’s busy lives, not everyone has time to cook everyday and when we do, we want things to be fast and easy. In this article she gives an idea on what to eat as snack when you are in the run.I think this are great ideas for college students that are always on campus. I noticed how my level of energy changes when I eat junk food, I get tired and all I want is a nap. When I eat something healthy I actually feel more awake and willing to do work.
