Microwaves contradictions

During the last few years, the usage of microwaves as a tool for cooking as been questioned for the negative effect that radiation might have on the food. (Here is a brief article that describes these negative effects) Research and experiments have been done about this topic, proving that in fact there are downsides of using microwaves, but yet, there are still cookbooks out there that highly rely on a microwave.

When I first moved out my parent’s house for college, my father gave this book, hoping to make my life easier. A few weeks later, I saw heard about an experiment that proved the downside of using the microwave oven and couldn’t help looking for it.

So, my biggest point here is: Why are these type of books still being published? If it has been proven the negative effects of microwave using, people are still being encouraged to use it.

I guess in the end is a matter of choice how much will you be using a microwave, or even being worried about the effects of its may have in the food we are eating.
