About Aarhus
Aarhus is the second-largest city in Denmark and is located on the east cost of the Jutland peninsula. Founded in the 8th century as a Viking settlement, it offers rich history to explore as well as many cultural and entertainment opportunities. Temperatures during June and July are on average in the 60-70 degree (F) range. Denmark’s official currency is the Danish kroner although some businesses do accept Euros.

About Houghton, Michigan

Houghton is the largest city on the Keweenaw Peninsula, the most northern part of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan on Lake Superior. It has been listed as one of the “100 Best Small Towns in America.”  Prosperous during the 1800s and early 1900s because of its copper mines, the region is referred to as the “Copper Country.”  During the summer, the area is perfect for all kinds of outdoor activities and sports. The cool, fresh water of Lake Superior is never far away where visitors can swim, jet-ski, boat, and fish the days away. Summer temperatures (May-July) in Houghton can range from 40-75 °F.
