Being fairly new to In design, I was not sure how to span columns. I wanted to use this feature so I would know how to easily use it on multiple pages for different information.
For example, this feature allows a title to stretch across the top of the page while the text flows throughout columns below. Doing this in a single text frame instead of multiple frames makes is easier and less crowded on your page. The fewer text frames used, the cleaner your work will be and the less hassle you will have to encounter.
