Mapping the World through Food

Food: An Atlas is a great example of how contemporary publishing projects can work. A UC-Berkeley lecturer and cartographer put out a call for maps from all of the world and then launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund the publication of the book. You can download the whole PDF at the Guerrilla Cartography website. It contains a lot of terrific information design that should be of interest to people interested in technical communication as well food.

Also check out “Mission Possible: A Neighborhood Atlas,” another project of Jensen’s—more awesome information design and inspiration.
