Cooking and the media just fascinate me because I think it can really shape how our society views cooking and baking. I have never given much thought into the process of making food or decorating pastries until I started watching reality TV shows that feature these two things into their prime-time. I think Cake Boss on TLC is a great example because it really glamorizes the hard work that that business put into establishing themselves. What kind of culture are we establishing when we portray making a bakery to be easy or is it really giving hope to those who did not think it could be a sustainable career?
