Sixteen-year-old Lexie Williams, after nine years spent battling brain cancer, has written a cookbook for kids with cancer. The recipes in the book avoid sugar, yeast, vinegar, and other foods that are thought to aid cancerous growth. Many consumers don’t consider cookbooks written to target people with specific ailments, and this goes a step further in targeting kids specifically. The book is specifically published in large print with color photographs because vision loss is a common symptom of brain cancer. The book is being published by the Magical Moon Farm, a group dedicated to empowering children with cancer.
